A major feature of a stay at the Tides Reach is the
opportunity to enjoy a range of activities within the hotel itself or
which are available within walking distance - without the use of a car.
Besides the Pool and Leisure Complex, there is a very popular foot passenger
ferry to Salcombe town from South Sands beach in front of the hotel which
takes just 10 to 12 minutes.

Perhaps the most exceptional popular activity outside the hotel is walking in the local area, particularly the South Devon Coastal footpath which actually passes in front of the hotel.
Sailing and a range of water sports are available via the Hotel in our
association with South Sands Sailing.
In addition there are two 18 hole golf courses, tennis at North Sands
on all-weather courts, horse riding, sea and fly fishing, scuba diving
and hot air-ballooning.
Just a short walk away is the Overbecks Museum and Garden, one of the
many superb National Trust Properties and sites in the area.
