The Tides Reach Hotel is situated in South Devon, South West England on the outskirts of the resort of Salcombe at the mouth of the Salcombe Estuary.
Travelling from Exeter
On leaving the M5 motorway at Exeter follow the A38 Exeter/Plymouth dual carriageway as far as Buckfastleigh. Turn off the A38 at Buckfastleigh and follow the signs towards Totnes (A384). As you enter Totnes and at the first main set of traffic lights, turn right on the A381 for Kingsbridge. From Kingsbridge take the A381 to Salcombe. On the outskirts of Salcombe look for the turning right into Sandhills Road (signposted North & South Sands). At the end of the road you will be facing the sea, turn right here. Keep the sea to your left follow the road past North Sands and then up and over the next hill (which is quite narrow) into South Sands. Once at South Sands you can't miss us - we're are right opposite the beach!
Travelling from Plymouth
Follow the A38 dual carriage way from Plymouth to Exeter as far as Ivybridge. Turn off the A38 at Ivybridge and follow the signs towards Ermington. From Ermington, follow the signs towards Kingsbridge. You will pass the villages of Modbury and Aveton Gifford and after the latter village you will should follow the signs for Salcombe/Malborough. Pass through Malborough on main road to Salcombe the A381. On entering the outskirts of Salcombe, look for the turning right into Sandhills Road (signposted North & South Sands). At the end of the road you will be facing the sea, turn right here. Keep the sea to your left follow the road past North Sands and then up and over the next hill (which is quite narrow) into South Sands. Once at South Sands you can't miss us - we're are right opposite the beach!
