You could not wish for a more ideal location...
Set in a commanding position, south facing in the tree-fringed
sandy cove of South Sands, just inside the mouth of the outstandingly
scenic Salcombe Estuary, you could not wish for a more ideal location
for a short break or relaxing holiday.
Salcombe, being one of the most southerly towns in England, enjoys
a very equable all-year round climate, a fact borne out by the famous
sub-tropical gardens at Overbecks on the hill above the Hotel. This
makes this part of Devon (the South Hams) a delightful area to explore
at any time of the year. Dartmouth, Totnes and Modbury are towns
of charm and character, ideal for shopping or browsing.
